Curated by Kid Fonque, Stay True Cutz Vol. 9 presents the ninth vinyl installment in the label’s highly acclaimed compilation series. Drawn from the imprint’s recent catalogue, this 12″ showcase unites four essential South African deep house and afro-house cuts engineered for discerning dancefloors.
Side A kicks off with beatsbyhand and vocalist Sio delivering “Trick Me,” a soulful, floor-ready deep house reimagining of the Kelis classic. It is followed by Tea White’s “Earth Over Us,” an emotive, textured 3-step instrumental built for introspective club moments. Flipping to the B-side, Thabo Tonick brings forward-facing 3-step pressure on “The Source,” combining tight builds with his signature sampling style. The EP rounds out with Nutty Nys’ “Never,” a low-slung, heavyweight deep house cut dripping with blues-tinged soul. A mandatory sampler package for DJs and house purists.
