Originally from Seshego and now based in Johannesburg, Aquatone is the deeper alias of South African producer Da Capo. Exploring the more atmospheric and underground side of house music, the project moves between deep grooves, dub textures and immersive sound design. Aquatone first appeared on Stay True Sounds in 2021 alongside Jazzuelle on Nomadic Splendour, returning in 2026 with Nowhere (I Can Go) (Aquatone Dub), a beautifully restrained rework of the soulful house classic by Clara Hill and Atjazz.
